Fix Slow WiFi Issue iOS 8

Some users are experiencing slow WiFi after updating to iOS 8. People affected are experiencing slower loading time for Safari pages, YouTube videos, and online apps. This is a pretty common issue and I have compiled a list of common fixes:

Solution #1

1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

2. After the reset, restart your device.

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > select your network > Forget this Network

2. Reconnect to the network




Solution #3

1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Solution #4

1. Log into your wireless router – Make sure you are connected to the network and type in your router’s IP address into the browser. You can find this information usually on the back of the router or box but typically the router IP address is 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.2.1.

2. Once logged in, go to ‘Wireless’ and change ‘Standard Channel’ to another channel (This will vary per router)

Solution #5

1. Log into wireless router (same as first step for solution #4).

2. Once logged in, go to ‘Wireless Settings’ and disable ‘5 GHz Band’.

1. Go to Settings> Privacy > Location Services > System Services

1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and press on the connected network
