Fix Slow WiFi Issue iOS 8
Some users are experiencing slow WiFi after updating to iOS 8. People affected are experiencing slower loading time for Safari pages, YouTube videos, and online apps. This is a pretty common issue and I have compiled a list of common fixes:
How-to Fix Slow WiFi for iOS 8
Solution #1
1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
2. After the reset, restart your device.
Solution #2
1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > select your network > Forget this Network
2. Reconnect to the network
Solution #3
1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Solution #4
1. Log into your wireless router – Make sure you are connected to the network and type in your router’s IP address into the browser. You can find this information usually on the back of the router or box but typically the router IP address is 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.2.1.
2. Once logged in, go to ‘Wireless’ and change ‘Standard Channel’ to another channel (This will vary per router)
Solution #5
1. Log into wireless router (same as first step for solution #4).
2. Once logged in, go to ‘Wireless Settings’ and disable ‘5 GHz Band’.

Solution one worked for me on my new iPhone 6 and my iPad air. My wife’s iPhone 5S and iPad4 were not affected after updating to iOS 8. Thank you.
Thanks for your advice. it worked on my iPad Air and iPad mini. From 1.89Mbps they went back up to 21Mbps.Thanks again.
I am using iphone5. All solutions not worked for me, the problem still exist.. Please help~
A variation of Solution 4 worked for me. I have a Time Capsule at home and at work. They were set for WPA2 wireless security. I changed them to WAP2/Personal. The one at home got me fast wifi on my 6 Plus but not at work. I noticed the one at home was set for channel 149 and at work it was set for automatic. I changed work to channel 149 and now have fast wifi on my 6 plus in both places.
Since upgrading to ios8 when I try to stream movies and tv to my iPad, I get 30 minutes of content and 30 minutes of buffering! This is so annoying. I’ve tried changing my settings and NOTHING WORKS! Beyond belief.
Solution #6 did the trick on my iphone 6
Works well now
Thanks
